E-signatures

How customers sign agreements in solarOS, with nothing to connect.

Agreements are signed through solarOS's own built-in e-signature service. There's no account to connect and nothing in Settings → Connected apps for it: every organization can send agreements as soon as it has an agreement template set up.

What you set up

Build the signature documents your team sends under Settings → Sales → Agreement templates. Upload the PDF, place merge fields and signer roles on it, and activate it. Companies with the agreement editor can also write the agreement in solarOS: solarOS fills it in for each customer when you send, and the customer signs it online. See Set up agreement templates and merge fields and Write agreement templates in solarOS.

Where signing happens

Agreements are created from an accepted quote, or from a change order sent for signature on your own change order document. Each is tracked from Sales → Agreements, with statuses Pending, Partially Signed, Completed, and Voided. See Send an agreement for signature and Change orders.

What the customer receives

The customer gets an email with a link to review and sign the document online. Once everyone required has signed, the agreement's status moves to Completed and a signed copy is available from Sales → Agreements.
