An accepted quote's design can't change through the API (2026-11-01)
Update Quote Content and Calculate Quote Content return 409 QUOTE_DESIGN_LOCKED on an accepted quote.
Org API, Update Quote Content (PATCH /api/v1/quotes/{id}/content) and Calculate Quote Content (POST /api/v1/quotes/{id}/content/calculate): on an accepted quote, both now return 409 with the new code QUOTE_DESIGN_LOCKED. Nothing is written or calculated. The quote's system, usage, pricing, and calculated figures are what the customer signed. Changes after the sale go through a change order on the project.
Before this change, an accepted quote returned 409 with CONFLICT. A quote in any other state past Draft and Pending Approval still returns CONFLICT. If your code reads CONFLICT to mean "this quote can no longer be edited", handle QUOTE_DESIGN_LOCKED the same way. See Error codes.

Create and update reject notes; job instructions go in description. Cancel stores its reason as cancelReason.

A solar quote with too many expansion batteries, a blank agreement value, or estimated production returns 409 CONFLICT.
