Idempotency
Mutating creates and actions declare when Idempotency-Key is required.
Business action keys
Use one stable idempotency key per business action. Reusing a key with a different body, path, or method returns 409 IDEMPOTENCY_CONFLICT.
A replay returns the stored response and sets Idempotency-Replayed: true. Reuse a key only when retrying the exact same method, path, and normalized JSON body.
Idempotency keys are kept for 24 hours. After that window, reusing the same key and body starts a new request instead of replaying the stored response. For retries further apart than that, or for repeat imports from another system, use an External Reference instead of Idempotency-Key.
